CHAPTER ONE- THE PARABLES OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Seeds Of Greatness

Inside every human heart is the desire to be great. Deep within each of us, we long for recognition as someone contributing something valuable to society. The paradox is that we want people to acknowledge our weightiness of expertise but take little action to develop our character beyond head knowledge. Knowledge is one thing but nobleness of spirit is different.

God, in His great love, created us with the potential to be truly great and noble. We are created in the image and likeness of the Godhead. Of all of God’s creation, humanity is the only creature who has the potential, the ability, and power to receive the seeds of greatness in our character. This latent ability is the remnant of God’s original plan for creation in which God and man would fellowship together on a daily basis allowing for the transfer and activation of greatness from God to His children.

This daily connection provided opportunity for the seeds of greatness to be sown into the human heart. God Himself cultivated the awareness of us being created in the image of God. This is where greatness comes from: our connection with God.

God was not the only one sowing seeds in the garden of Eden. The serpent was sowing seeds of deception also. The serpent implied that God had withheld something from Adam and Eve. He implied that they were not fully made in the image of God. The seed-words of the serpent were sown to create doubt and unbelief in God’s words. In effect, the serpent was calling God a liar. In truth, the serpent himself was the liar.

Sadly, to the sorrow of all creation, Eve and Adam believed the seed-words of the serpent and submitted themselves to his reign and kingdom. Separated from God by doubt and unbelief, the entire world was plunged into darkness as the serpent became the god of this planet.  Adam and Eve were created to live eternally tending to the care of this planet, but their separation from God caused them to die.

The simple fact is that the seed-words we believe in can have eternal consequences. There are truly unseen realities in the spirit world that we often neglect to acknowledge. But the spirit world is ruled by seed-words, and faith in the seed-words sets off chain reactions in the realm of human beings.

Words affect what or how we think, what we say, and our mental commitment to something before we act.  Seed-words have the power to change our course of action and the final accomplishment of our destiny.

God has a plan for each of us to become great and to realize our fullest potential. For this to happen, we must shake off the seed-words of doubt and unbelief from the serpent that plunge us into darkness. There is an alternative. There is a kingdom of light.

Jesus came speaking powerful seed-words of God’s Kingdom. This is wonderful news that humanity can once again participate in the Kingdom of God. Jesus declared that God had a plan to restore humanity to relationship with Himself after He had dealt with the darkness and the ransom sin demanded.

The seed-words of Jesus revealed that we could experience a new birth in our human spirit from the Spirit of God. He stated that when we were born again, we could see and enter God’s Kingdom through faith that it is real. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. It always has been from the beginning.
